How much water should you drink?

According to weight

Based on your size and weight, and also on your activity level and where you live. If you are more active or live in a warmer climate your body will need more water. In general, you should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces of water a day.

When fasting or on a detox

One of your bodies natural reactions to fasting is to flush toxins and impurities from the body through the liver and kidneys. This requires increased water intake for these organs to function properly. During  Daniel's fast in the Bible Daniel only consumed water (Daniel 1:12). While we do get some of our daily water intake from the foods we eat when you fast you are taking in less food. Your body will need more water to replace food based water. We recommend you increase your water intake by 25% - 50% when fasting. This will allow your organs to function at a higher level while flushing your system.
