Seeing the beauty and God’s hand in the world around us has always been natural to me. Growing up in Ohio, the beauty of nature mesmerized me from an early age, as I spent much of my youth riding bikes with friends, gardening with my mom and letting my vivid imagination chase clouds all day. I was never afraid to play in the mud and I always managed to create something new every day. My mother saw this appreciation for God’s creation in my wonder and curiosity and encouraged me through the years to use art and creativity as an outlet as well as a devotional practice. After attending visual and performance art programs throughout adolescence, I then studied fashion design at Pratt, graduating with honors and a BFA in fashion design. These vast and varying settings, from riding bikes and chasing lightning bugs to the big city lights and the world of fashion, only fed my creative and entrepreneurial spirit to be all the more ambitious and enthusiastic in my every endeavor.

Though self-expressed, I still felt uncertain of my career path, until a prayer circle gave me the message that both intimidated and empowered me: that I was meant to share a message with the world and become a leader and mentor to others. From that, I began to hear the word of God calling me to join my spiritual and artistic lives together and see God in and through my own creativity. I honored that call, and from it Godtivity was born. 

As I started planning and thinking of the different books and programs I started naturally adding other aspects of my lifestyle because it just felt right. I had been slowly working on it for a few years, but when the 2020 coronavirus lockdown happened, I couldn't stop thinking about how much the concept of Godtivity and a Christian Wellness Program would help people if they had it right now.

Today, after 13 years of living in New York City and starting a family with my husband, I've taken the chance to switch coasts and find a Californian way of living. Now living in Los Angeles, my love of both rural and metropolitan life collide. I love Los Angeles. In a weekend you can: hike, go to the beach, see snow, and cactus filled deserts. That’s amazing!

Godtivity is a way of life; it's an offering of love and devotion to God as well as my way of sharing the blessings, wisdom and experiences God has given me that I know will help other Christians find balance, wellness, and thrive as creatives.
