Basic Face Mask Instructions
1. Preparing your skin
Start with a clean dry face. Wash your face with a mild face soap being sure not to exfoliate or scrub the skin. Once finished, pat dry.
2. Preparing your mask
Open your mask and empty powdered contents into a small bowl. The bowl should be large enough to fit 3-4 times the powdered mask.
3. Hydrating your mask
Try hydrating your mask with yogurt, soy milk, goat milk, rice milk, apple cider vinegar, alkaline water, water with sea salt or any liquid that is beneficial to the skin. For a thicker mask, use yogurt or less liquid. Slowly add your desired liquid to the bowl in tablespoon increments mixing in between so as not to over mix the mixture. Generally we have found that 2 parts powder to 1 part liquid mix is perfect.
4. Spot test
Dab a small amount of the mask to your inner elbow and leave it to dry for 3-5 min. If you develop any irritation or feel unwell after the patch test, do not use the product. If there is no reaction please continue to step 5.
5. Apply & Rinse
Apply a thin layer to cleansed skin, avoiding the eye area and let dry for five to 20 minutes. While your face mask is drying, this is a great time to do an activity from the workbook, pray, praise or worship. After 20 minutes maximum, gently rinse with warm water. Pat to dry with a fresh towel, tone and moisturize as usual. We recommend the face masks be applied at night before bed to allow the skin to rest before direct sun exposure.
