With all the distractions of our daily lives and the world it can be hard to just hear yourself think. These things can also clutter your mind, overwhelm your emotions and leave you physically exhausted. Often we can combat this by being in the right place at the right time. Try setting aside alone quiet time 1st thing in the morning before you check your phone or have your coffee. Connect with God as your source before we take on the stress and worries of our daily lives can make a huge difference. And if needed try a social media, TV and pop culture fast.

Psalm 91 is one of my favorite passages in the Bible. Every line is a beautiful affirmation proclaiming the protection and security we find when we dwell in the "secret place" of God. What exactly is a secret place? Today we will create a secret place of our own. A special place where you will seek God's presence everyday. BUT that is just the beginning. The secret place is much more than a physical place. It is a spiritual place, that transcends any physical location, time, distance or circumstance. It is living or dwelling in the shadow of God. A level of intimacy that is so close you find yourself moving as one. The only way to hide in someone's shadow is to stand so close and move as they move as if the two of you are one being. The secret place that we are looking for is a deeper level of intimacy where we can be closer to God the Father and live as one with Him daily.
