The 1st miracle Jesus did was to turn water into wine and the word wine is mentioned more than 230 times in the Bible. but let's be realistic while there maybe a few health benefits it's not essential to our daily lives. Abstaining from alcohol, liquor or weed is  an amazing fast that will give you greater clarity. If you fine yourself indulging on a daily basis then this is the best fast for you. Sometimes we can't hear God speak because of all the static that daily drinking and smoking can cause on the lines of communication.

This forces you to only consume water most of the day, consume only 1 regular sized meal after sunset and say no to food repeatedly throughout the day. You'll be surprised how much extra time you have when you're not eating during the day.
